I went to see my new neurologist for the second time today. This is the 4th neurologist my GP referred me to so I felt like I had to go back to him (at least to get a neurosurgeon referral) but I’m never making that mistake again.
After I got home, I found his web listing and left a bad review. Then, I read all the other reviews. They weren’t good. So, I decided to share them because It’s outrageous that doctors get away with this kind of treatment. The first step towards change is making people aware of the situation. Why do doctors keep getting away with hurting people rather than helping them, especially when they are chronically ill?
Before I left his office, I told an employee of his that I knew I wasn’t the first to complain. She nodded. She told me that I could report him to my insurance company. She said if they get enough complaints, then he might have to change or lose his license. At first, I wondered if maybe it was because I’m on Medicaid, but he seems to treat everyone badly.
This is my review:
“There’s a reason this place only has 2 stars y’all, many reasons. I have several spine disabilities and an open CSF leak. The “doctor” tried to tell me I didn’t have a CSF leak even though he hadn’t looked at my MRIs. I told him I had a failed blood patch so I definitely had and still have a CSF leak. Finally, he said he would do some MRIs to see if there actually were any problems. Why was he still questioning conditions I’ve already been diagnosed with? (cervical stenosis/CSF leak/facet joint capsulitus/DDD/disc slippage/disc arthritis/chiari malformation and others). Basically, my neck has trouble holding my head up, and I’m losing my ability to walk.
When I got my MRIs back, I realized he had listed my problem as “migraines during sexual activity”. I was stunned. That wasn’t my problem. I went to him for a CSF leak and a neurosurgeon referral. Why would he tell the radiologist to look for evidence of sex migraines??? I no longer even have migraines, and sex was never the catalyst for them. We NEVER even talked about sex in my 10 minute appointment. Why would we? He ordered 4 MRIs and never asked the radiologist to look for the problem I am having (the open CSF leak). The doctor kept me in pain for a month, and he went out of his way to NOT help me. He’s arrogant and vindictive. Save yourself.
-Also, he will only see u for your first appointment and then you can only see a nurse practitioner. They said they put that information on a sign in the office so I should’ve already known that. What? Who reads all the signs in a doctors office to make sure they get to see a doctor? Weird. They don’t tell u that because they don’t want you to get mad at them for it. Why go to a doctor you never see? Dear receptionist/nurse, don’t blame your patients. Blame your weird employer.
(This “doctor’s” reviews might not be interesting to everybody. As a chronically ill person who has been treated badly by medical professionals for 24 years, I find it interesting to see how doctors treat their other patients.)

The only good thing about this doctor and office is that they called from a referral quickly. They were 45 minutes behind schedule. Dr. (blank space) spent about 10 minutes with me total. He interrupted me halfway through my answers to his questions. I couldn’t understand hardly anything he said. When he wanted to put me on a medication I’d already tried and had horrible side affects with, he ignored me and prescribe it anyway. He was dismissive and curt.
I got a copy of my appointment notes so I could try to understand what he says, and half of them were either wrong, or fictionalized because he never did the exam. ie, it says the headaches are worse on the right when I indicated the left. We never discussed how often or what relieved the headaches, yet he had answers for that. And I wasn’t even there for headaches.
I have no trust in him and will be seeking another neurologist.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR’S OFFICE!!!!! Staff can’t return phone calls. In the 6 times we’ve been to the office only seem the doctor once. They have the all excuses in the world why they can’t do their job. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

It has take a month for an actual appointment and when I did get one it did understand anything dr said. Fast forward to next appointment I was advised that I missed another appointment that I was not made aware of until that day. I had a follow up with the the MA i could understand her better. Phone system don’t work. I think I’m done.

My husband goes to the “doctor’s” office every six months for epilepsy. We’ve have only seen the actual “doctor” once with our first visit and a second time when we had to specially ask the nurse practitioner to speak with him directly about the issues my husband was having with his meds. Not really sure why we wouldn’t get to see him in the first place with issues such as this, not just a prescription renewal.
We pay out of pocket because we do not have insurance for him and have never missed or not paid them. We have even paid them the $150 to file FMLA paper work for his work. This last time we asked them to fill out the papers it was returned stating the doctor had not done it correctly or completely. It’s too late to resubmit and he is unable to qualify now because of it. When I called to ask for a refund I left message for the manager, didn’t hear back for a week so I called again and spoke with the rudest most inconsiderate woman I have ever spoke with. She refused to even ask the “doctor” to make an exception after I explained that we live pay check to pay check and now we are out 150 because of them. She refused to do anything for me and showed no care or interest in the matter. We will not be returning to this office and hope others will not have to deal with their disaster of a staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE

I have had 2 visits with the “doctor”.
On my 1st visit he or his staff neglected to gather any history regarding seizures. I’ve never had a “typical” seizure before either. What did happen that prompted me to seek a doctor was I was walking across my room and I had this strange sensation start in the back of my neck or skull and then this blackness I can only describe as a black snow begin on the sides of my vision. Then every muscle in my body got stiff and rigid. I couldn’t move or yell. I just stood there stiff and gripping a door handle for what seemed 30-45 seconds. I didn’t fall on the floor or anything like that either.
I never got to explain this episode to anyone in his office. No one bothered to ask if I ever had migraines (which I get with auras) or how I even how my sleep patterns are (considering he practice is a “sleep medicine” office too)
He ordered an EEG and an MRI and said nothing more and left the room.
Fast forward to my follow-up appointment to discuss the results of the EEG and MRI.
Again, the only question asked of me, from the young lady, was there any changes to my current medication and my current weight.
A little while later the Dr. comes in says my EEG was abnormal and MRI showed no tumors. Then he turns to the computer types something and tells me that he’s doing a “sleep EEG” and walks out!!
I wasn’t given the opportunity to ask a single question or to even tell him about my history of migraines or the auras I’ve always had on and off since I was a kid.
By the time the young lady returns to make another follow-up appointment, I’m in tears!! My anxiety has become worse and I still don’t have any answers!!
I’ve learned more about different types of seizures from Google than this Dr. with a medical degree!!
From reading other reviews… Maybe “the doctor” prefers older patients than a middle aged woman like myself.
I’m taking my records/results and seeking answers some place else!

Horrible waste of time. “The doctor” I saw told me if the tests came back not showing anything, they’d do a different test. Had me make a follow up appt. I go back two weeks later and it’s with a different person. She looks around for his notes and tells me it doesn’t say anything about a different test!! Even worse- no lab results!
WHY did they have me return?
HOW is this place even open for business?
And good luck trying to get your records from them ..
Bad Review #8!
Went to both facilities and the front office is very rude and racist! Never seen “the doctor” one time! I was told by one of the MA that they run the office and whatever they say goes! I did numerous UAs and they kept telling me that they weren’t getting them and completely stop giving me my meds “because they can do what they want” is what I was told!

“The Doctor”’s office is the “Jiffy Lube” of neurology. They spend very little time with patient.
First, you have to -DEMAND- to see “the doctor”, otherwise, he’d like his PA to review EEGs, brain monitoring, etc. Lazy. “The Doctor’s” bedside manner is condescending and he moves very quickly, as if there are so many patients to see, however, his preference is for patients see the PA or MA.
We will be looking for a new Neurology provider. Our last retired and was very thorough and caring.

worst doctor ever “Dr.”__ do not see him go else where
Bad Review #11
Absolute worst! Front office changes every few months and is completely incompetent and astonishingly rude. When scheduling an appt one time Janine asked me if a date was ok, while checking my calendar she scolded me threw the phone after just a few seconds and says “…um can you hurry up I have a patient in front of me…” Worst front office and absolute WORST Dr. He accepted my workman’s comp case then refused to do the paperwork. “The doctor”puts forth the very least amount of effort towards his patients and his office, and it shows.

My 1st appt was on 3-12-20. I was told i needed a MRI. It took 5 weeks to get taken care of. Then I had a sleep st7dy done and was told i HAVE SEVERE sleep apnea and they would call in STAT for my CPAP machine since I could die from this. Its been 2 weeks! 😡 And then I just received a call from Cpap company saying they just now got order and now need to wait for ins to Approve. This the worste experience I have ever had! Today i will Getting ALL my RECORDS!!

Absolutely horrible experience seeing this doctor. Took my daughter to see if having seizures and he asked 9 times if she has seen a psychiatrist. 1st time was right after he introduced himself. We hadn’t even discussed her illnesses or why she was seeing him. My daughter has been through enough with her illnesses. She doesn’t need a Dr. like that. We will go with a highly recommended Dr. in the future!

So I have been coming to Dr. Wong for many years. Dr.wong is great. But the way staff does not inform you of the Referral information until the day before your appointment is wrong. Also waiting months to tell you, you owe 65.00 dollars when you live on disability and that’s your own Source of income. I’m so upset how the office does things. Also when you see Dr. Wong for a Nerve test he doesn’t tell you what he has found. You have to wait to see his PA. I have found out that you have to be your own Advocate. It’s getting worse that you have to do all the calling to get it done. I have called the office many time and lefted messages they don’t check them. Then they won’t see you for 1 1/2 months because they see you as a no show. But you called. Then I will get there where no message saying any thing or they have not checked them. I’m at my last straw with the pain I’ve had for years. If I walk for hours my back, neck and hips hurt or if I stand for a hour 1/2 I’m down the next day. I can’t do anything. If I go to the gym it’s the same thing. I just want things to get better and it’s the run around.Thank you.

The neurologist was kind of Spacey. the office staff all stated they were new and had no idea what was going on. since we were in an automobile accident we had to pay cash for all of our visits and test. They would not even Bill our health insurance. and they would not wait for payment from the lawyer. but I did take my health insurance card for some reason and had a lot of questions regarding automobile accident and paperwork.
Bad Review #16
They have canceled my appointment THREE different times and the last reason was because “she didn’t have time for me”
Bad Review #17
Whenever I needed a prescription refill, I HAD to schedule an appointment before getting them. This was very expensive, time consuming and cost a lot of PTO from work. DO NOT see this doctor if these things are important to you. My current doctor offers refills over the phone and I only have to visit him every six months.

(This seems like a pretty good review but just wait…)
“The doctor” was awesome. He took time to explain my conditions with me. However he’s now retired. After thousands of dollars worth of tests and many new diagnosis I made sure to write down all of the questions that I had for the nurse practisioner at my next visit. She explained nothing to me and everytime I asked her a question she just kept saying “ummm…” And didn’t actually answer any of the questions that I had.
The only reason I’m this dissapointed is that I spent soooo much money trying to gain some answers. All I have are a ton of diagnosises and don’t know what any of them are or how to treat them. At one point another NP told me I didn’t have a diagnosis.. When I had been diagnosed with it at 17 years old, every MRI showed it previously, even “the doctor” had diagnosed me with it… clearly my patient history wasn’t saved in their system? Idk it was all a very confusing ordeal and a huge waste of my time and money.
(NOTE:This was from 6 years ago. I don’t know what exactly happened, but I’m pretty sure they lied to this guy. Theres one doctor in the office, and he is not retired! I saw him a few weeks ago and heard his voice today. They just lie to people, and this patient could not have been kinder.)
I think AI will replace most doctors in the future. I think AI might be able to do a better job and will even treat patients better. AI would probably treat me like I was an actual person.
