MEDICAL DISCLAIMER …

Hi..

Sooooo…

I’m not a doctor

I’m not a nurse

I’m not a mental healthcare professional

I’m not an expert

I’m not your mother

I am your friend —in a no pressure parasocial kind of way— and I want to help women & children thrive by improving healthcare worldwide.

So, what qualifies me to talk about how big pharma and the government is adversely affecting the health  of women and children in the US? Nothing. I have no credentials, or certificates, or children! I’m not here to convince anyone to believe what I believe. I’m just sharing what I have learned to help people in similar situations looking for help/answers.

Who am I? I’m a disabled writer/creator looking to build a chronically ill female community where women can help other women. I have been chronically ill for 25 years with a mystery illness. I know there are many women in the same boat as me.

I read & researched medical articles in order to figure out what is causing my mystery illness. Doing medical research helped me secure diagnoses so I could qualify for SS disability. Now, I have Medicare which I hope will get me more effective medical attention.

After college, I went through a year of massage school and practiced healing bodywork on people for 7 years. I had to take an anatomy & physiology course.

At that point in my life, I had no idea that learning about the human body would be such an important part of my life journey, but it has helped me in many ways. Learning about the body gave me an idea of how the body works. It also made me familiar with body parts and medical terms so I didn’t struggle to make sense of medical articles when I started my medical research journey. I understand how it could feel hopeless when you start looking for answers, and it feels like you have to learn a whole NEW language before you can star understanding stuff. As soon as I realized i could look things up on the internet, I was able to have more control over my care. The more I learned, the more both me and my mother benefited.

During this time, my mom had two bone marrow transplants which lead to our entire family learning more about medicine.  I think I’ve learned things that other people don’t typically learn, just because my family has been sickly. Other people haven’t had to think about these things because chronic illness isn’t their plight in life. They have other problems.

These problems were for me to learn from. I learned a lot through nursing my mom & watching her medical journey & researching & reading for solutions to her problems/symptoms. I learned to nurse myself and be my own mefical advocate when someone can’t be there for me.

Most surprisingly, I also uncovered some things I was not looking for, At first, I learned that the medical world & our government are hiding many truths from the public. They are actively misinforming the public in a number of ways. So, I’m going to blow the whistle on some public health scandals. I guess once I do I’ll qualify as a whistleblower.

But, we all know that I’m still not a doctor. So, why listen to me? Because I’m going to tell you all the things your doctors aren’t telling you. Then, you should do your own research to determine if what I’m saying is accurate. My intentions are good. I’m only here to help.

And, just so there’s no confusion, here’s an official medical advice disclaimer:
